“Man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. (Deuteronomy 8:3)
Lord, who can comprehend even one of your words? There are all kinds of treasures buried inside, so that each of us might grow rich in seeking them out.
And so whenever you discover some part of the treasure, you should not think that you have exhausted God’s Word. You should actually give thanks for its riches precisely because you could not capture it all.
So be glad that you are overwhelmed by the Word. A thirsty person is happy when drinking, not depressed because he or she cannot exhaust the spring! So let this spring quench your thirst, and do not try to quench the spring with your drinking.
Be thankful then for what you have received.

Mine as well. It always seems to get stuck in my mind for days at at time every so often. That is where it has been now for days 🙂 Thank you for doing the link up so faithfully. I have enjoyed participating so much.
Dear Joanne
Oh, I like the way you put this, my friend! Let us quench our thirst and not try to exhaust the spring. Not that is possible for our Spring is inexhaustible, but I understand your point. We can easily miss what Pappa wants to reveal to our hearts through a verse, because we want it all figured out! Humans!!

Mia – So grateful that the Spring is eternal. Thank you for blessing me with your comments!
There are always more. And every revelation creates new questions if we dare to wonder. But, as I believe you say, some want to master. And then there is no life. A thing is a thing. Nice post.
Yes. Fresh manna each and every day 🙂 Thank you!
