“This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
(Psalm 118: 24, NLT)
As I facetime with our granddaughter, she announces excitedly, “This is the bestest day ever!”
There is always a “bestest day” with young children as they discover something new around them. This particular day it was due to experiencing her first ride on a school bus. “A real live school bus!”
The change of seasons is my favorite part of living in New England. Do I have a favorite season? No, not really, as I would not want to give up any one of them.
It’s autumn – the seasons are changing once again. It continually amazes me to see the sunrise in a different spot over the tops of the trees out back of our house. The shadows lengthening in the grass. The smell of autumn as leaves dry and get ready to fall from their appointed branches. The stunning display of colors – varied in their hues and brilliance.
One cannot even describe the comfort of the smell of the heat coming up for the very first time each fall.
Each sight, smell, and thought are a reminder of the creativity and care of our God towards His people. Faithfully. Tenderly.
While all else around us changes, He stays the same.
I hope you will join me at Woman to Woman Ministries HERE. Let’s look at the very words God whispers over us as we shift from season to season.

Yes! Fall in New England is definitely the backdrop to SO many bestest days!
I can just hear your granddaughter say “This is the bestest day!” with such excitement in her voice! There’s nothing like a sweet Little sharing their joy! I’m a bit jealous of your New England autumn’s but right now our Minnesota days might be rivaling them a bit! God’s glory in the midst of it all!
