Every Friday I join a community of bloggers for Five Minute Friday. One word prompt, five minutes. Unedited. The prompt this week is … Make.
Make – to bring into being; to form, to create.
God is the One who brings each of us into being. He forms us and creates us.
“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.” (Genesis 1:26, NASB)
God is the One who causes something to be experienced by us in this life.
“Make me know Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths.” (Psalm 25:4, NASB)
God keeps us safe in ways we often don’t notice.
“In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O Lord, make me to dwell in safety.”
(Psalm 4:8, NASB)
God makes our paths straight and level, so we don’t stumble about in life.
“In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:6, NASB)
God works in our hearts, making them responsive to His Spirit.
“And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.” (Ezekiel 36:26, NLT)
May we rejoice in the Lord,
the maker of heaven and earth,
the maker and keeper of our hearts.
