“All day long you plot destruction. Your tongue cuts like a sharp razor; you’re an expert at telling lies.” (Psalm 52:2, NLT)
“The tongue is one of the smallest parts of the body, yet it can do the most damage …
When we boast of the goodness of God, our tongues are medicine that heals, not sharp razors that cut. Our tongues are used to speak righteousness, not spread lies. They will boast about the Lord, not about ourselves. Let’s yield our hearts to God so that our tongues might be used for blessing.
We need to keep our tongues under control.”

Today I am joining … Scripture & a Snapshot .
Our words can cause tremendous damage to relationships and pain to others. Controlling our tongue is something we need to be aware of every waking moment. Thank you for this scriptural reminder.
What a poignant contrast. May my tongue be used to help and heal, not to hurt.
James was so right when he said the tongue is hard to tame! This is a good and timely reminder that when I’m obeying Christ, my words should heal rather than hurt.
