“You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, And Your right hand upholds me; And Your gentleness makes me great.” (Psalm 18:35, NASB)
“Life is 10 percent how you take it and 90 percent what you make it …
God gently deals with us. It didn’t look like gentleness at the time, but when David later reflected over all those years of persecution, he said, “I see the gentle hand of God in all of this.” God wants you to go higher and farther. Let Him make you.
The path of your walk with God is lined with both trials and blessings. When the way becomes rough and difficult, He promises sure footing to get over the obstacles.”

I appreciate Wiersbe’s math! May we trust for grace.to accept God’s gentle dealings with us, knowing his intention is for good.
I am thankful for the shield of his salvation. Have a blessed Sunday!
So very true Ms. Joanne, As I look back across my life, I can see where God was there leading me through difficult times. Not always to break me and force me into compliance to His ways, but to strengthen me, and help me learn the lessons of faith that I would need later on in my life. He’s still gently guiding and growing me (as a vinedresser) so I might produce more fruit in my life to glorify God and His kingdom. Some great lessons can be taken from your insightful post ma’am. God’s blessings.
So many hings make better sense in hindsight–and what doesn’t here will in heaven. What a blessed truth that when obstacles are in our path, God gives us grace to overcome.
