“He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.”
(Psalm 1:3, NASB)
“A tree needs light, water, and roots to live … The person God can bless is planted by rivers of waters …
To have the blessings of verse 3, we need to meet the conditions of verses 1 and 2. That is, we must first be separated from the world and saturated with the Word to be situated by the waters …
Where we place our roots is paramount.”

Today I am joining … Scripture & a Snapshot and Sunday Scripture Blessings and Selah .
Those words from Psalm 1– I want to be rooted by those faithful streams.
Great reminder! I’m so glad that these are the kinds of roots that have little to do with our physical location, but more with our spiritual orientation!
I love this. It’s true we so often want verse 3, but bypass 1 and 2. But to have continual nourishment so we are always fruitful, we need to be rooted in the Word.
Thanks for sharing. Have a great week.
