“Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have rolled over me.” (Psalm 42:7, NASB)
“Stand firmly in the place where your dear Lord has put you, and do your best there. God sends us trials or test, and places life before us as a face-to-face opponent. It is through the pounding of a serious conflict that He expects us to grow strong. The tree planted where the fierce winds twist its branches and bends its trunk, often nearly to the point of breakage, is commonly more firmly rooted than a tree growing in a secluded valley where storms never bring any stress or strain.
The same is true of human life. The strongest and greatest character is grown through hardship.”

Today I am joining … Scripture & a Snapshot and Sunday Scripture Blessings .
Standing firm, by grace! You you for words of encouragement and inspiration every Sunday!
Thank you, Streams 🙂 No matter how many times I have used this devotional, it has been exactly the one I needed in that year.
I do tend to be a grass is greener type person, and wonder why sometimes others seem to have it more together or gifts from God. Beautiful reminder that I am where God has wanted me all these years. I know if wasn’t, he would let me know, but I do forget that at times. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful week and November.
That’s interesting that strong winds will cause a tree to dig its roots deeper. May we be ever more deeply rooted in Christ through whatever storms try to blow us around.
Even the winds and storms have purpose when we dig deeper in our faith during those hard times.
