“Do not fret because of evildoers …” (Psalm 37:1a, NASB)

“I believe that this verse is as much a divine command as “You shall not steal” (Exodus 20:15) …

May we set it aside once and for all and simply be obedient to the command “Do not fret.“

OVERHEARD IN AN ORCHARD

Said the Robin to the Sparrow:
“I should really like to know
Why these anxious human beings
Rush about and worry so?”

Said the Sparrow to the Robin:
“Friend, I think that it must be
That they have no Heavenly Father
Such as cares for you and me.”

    Absolutely love that. Worry is of the Devil and seems I sometimes have to constantly kick him out of my head and remind myself that God is in me and not him.

      I loved the perspective the poem brings. May we remember our Father cares deeply for His own.

    Amen! It’s hard to do when we look around us–but not when we look up to Him.

    Easy to fret when we only look at the broken world around us. When we keep our eyes on the Lord, it’s so much easier to trust him!

      So true, Kym. It may not be easy but it is what we must do. Trust Him.
