“Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel; I will help you,” declares the Lord and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel. “Behold, I have made you a new, sharp, threshing sledge with double edges; You will thresh the mountains and pulverize them, And will make the hills like chaff. You will winnow them, and the wind will carry them away, And the storm will scatter them; But you will rejoice in the Lord,You will glory in the Holy One of Israel.” (Isaiah 41:14-16, NASB)
“Christ is building His kingdom with the broken things of earth. People desire only the strong, successful, victorious, and unbroken things in life to build their kingdom, but God is the God of the unsuccessful – the God of those who have failed. Heaven is being filled with earth’s broken lives, and there is no “bruised reed” (Isaiah 42:3) that Christ cannot take and restore to a glorious place of blessing and beauty. He can take a life crushed by pain or sorrow and make it a harp whose music will be total praise. He can lift earth’s saddest failure up to heaven’s glory. J.R.Miller

Today I am joining … Scripture & a Snapshot and Sunday Scripture Blessings and Selah .
May the music of our lives bring glory to our great God!
I am thanking God for His work in my own broken life! Such mercy, kindness and patience He has shown me even as He has corrected and provoked me to submit to His dealings-all for my good.
What a beautiful, redeeming work He does. He doesn’t toss us away, but He picks up the pieces and remakes them into something so much better.
My God specializes in making beauty from brokenness! What a beautiful promise from Scripture, and so many others like it.
Total praise.
Yes, that’s where I want to be … totally focused on the beauty of who He is.
Amen.
