“Who are those who fear the Lord? He will show them the path they should choose.” (Psalm 25:12, NLT)
“Are you obsessed by something? You will probably say, “No, by nothing.” but all of us are obsessed by something … The abiding awareness of the Christian life is to be God Himself …
If we are obsessed by God, nothing else can get into our lives – not concerns, nor tribulation, nor worries. And now we understand why our Lord so emphasized the sin of worrying. How can we dare to be so absolutely unbelieving by God when God totally surrounds us? To be obsessed by God is to have an effective barricade against all the assaults of the enemy.”

In that God is love I agree.
“Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith”-oh, how I need a shift of focus toward my Magnificent Obsession.
Thank you for sharing. I needed this.
That’s a different way of looking at obsession! I like it!
I’m guilty of being too obsessed with news events the past three months. Thanks for using Oswald Chambers to gently keep us focused on God himself. He is worthy of our obsession.
I have as well. There’s hardly a state press conference that I have missed and that to me, is a very sad and obsessive admission 🙁 So grateful for Oswald Chambers’ words which draw my focus to where it needs to be secured.
