“A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stump; a God-shaped life is a flourishing tree.” (Proverbs 11:28, MSG)

“When God tends your garden, you are guaranteed vibrant growth and lush foliage. You will be like a healthy and fruitful tree, giving shade to all those around you.

Allowing God to shape your life after His own heart produces breathtaking results. He gently prunes away unwanted branches, like interests and relationships that won’t produce growth for you or Him.

A God-shaped life glistens inside and out. But spending time on things that don’t bring enthusiasm to your spirit will leave you feeling dead inside. Watch out for and avoid things that dry up your sap and stunt your growth! Instead, pursue flourishing life provided by the Father, striving to spend less time in the world’s shadows and more time in the Son’s light.

Prayer: Father God, I want all You have to offer! Help me embrace a God-shaped life. Amen.
