The queen of Sheba had heard about King Solomon’s great wisdom and fame. She came to see for herself, and was she ever impressed! The interesting point to notice from her visit is that she acknowledged God’s hand in what she witnessed.
When others notice your good works, attributes, or talents, do you let them see past you to the true source of your power and worth?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I want to shine for You today – and every day! May others see good in me so that they will praise You and give glory to You. Amen.

I think about this often with my family, particularly. It’s so easy to let down our guard with those close to home, but I want to be a faithful pointer as well as a sandwich maker and cookie baker.
Joanne, I love this. When someone praises you for success, it would be so easy to let it stop there, but it NEVER SHOULD! It should always keep going to its original source in God who gave us our talents and hopefully the wisdom to use them to His glory!
When attending the funeral for a friend this past week, we thought of what a wonderful example of a great marriage she and her husband had given to their family and friends. So many people remarked about the same thing. Their marriage “shined” and pointed others to the Lord.
