“Then we your people, the sheep of your pasture, will praise you forever; from generation to generation we will proclaim your praise.” (Psalm 79:13, NLT)
Although not the smartest animals, sheep can easily distinguish their own shepherd’s voice from all others.
What a blessing it is that you can know you belong to God! Listen for the still, small voice of your Good Shepherd. He may be calling you to pursue a dream you think is unattainable, a reminder that nothing is impossible with God. He may be asking you to reach out to another woman or child who desperately needs a word of encouragement or a bit of help. This, too, is a reminder that He will not call you to that which you cannot accomplish in His name.
Praise your heavenly Father today. Thank Him for being such a loving Shepherd. He will never lose sight of His own. May your ears always be fine-tuned to His voice.
Prayer: Good Shepherd, lead me today in Your everlasting ways. Amen.

This: “May your ears always be fine-tuned to His voice.”
That’s my prayer for myself and for my children…that they will hear Him when He calls.
What a wonderful reminder. We do have to be still in order to listen! Loved the picture that goes with the post. Perfect!
Your comment made me pause this morning to think. When we are constantly on the “go”, we still hear but we hear a lot of other unnecessary and unneeded sounds. It is as we still ourselves that we are able to hear Him alone. Distinctly. No other distractions. Thank you for sharing and making me think even more on this. Hope you are having a great week. Blessings!
