“You take care of the earth and water it, making it rich and fertile. The river of God has plenty of water; it provides a bountiful harvest of grain, for you have ordered it so.”
(Psalm 65:9, NLT)
“You, just like others, experience dry spells in your life …Â You most likely hit spiritual dry spells as well – when God’s voice is hard to hear, when your prayers seem to go nowhere and your faith feels so small.
All you have to do in those times is hold out your empty, dry hands to God. Even if the only word you can manage to speak is “Help,” it is enough. Even if you cannot speak at all. God will answer your silent cries with living water – water that leads to eternal life. Water that leaves you wanting more of Him.
Prayer: Lord, water my dry land and enrich my life. Amen.

Today I am joining … Open Sunday Thoughts and Spiritual Sundays and Scripture & a Snapshot .
I am so blessed to call you friend. xo
Likewise!
What gorgeous imagery in that rendering of the verse, And I need to be reminded of God’s abundance all the time, so thank you, Joanne.
I was blessed in the reading of that verse. I am so grateful He tends to our souls in every season.
I love those two words… plenty and bountiful. And I think of how we see the word abundance in the Bible so much too. Just a reminder this morning of His provisions… at all times.
Blessings to you on this Sunday.
Beth
We are blessed to have a provisional God. He sees and tends to the needs of our soul. May you be assured, He is tending to you, Beth!
Yes, I’ve had times such as these – when “Help” seemed to be the only word I was able to utter – and He was always there to answer that plea. Amen!
It is amazing to me how the mention of just one word, “Help”, speaks an entire prayer. Our God knows exactly how to respond.
