“Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes.”
(Isaiah 58:12b, NIV)
“As you go….
Can you BREAK a yoke?
Can you FEED the hungry?
Can you HELP the homeless?
Can you CLOTHE the naked?
Can you SATISFY the afflicted?
Can you LIFT up a needy brother?
Can you REFRAIN from cursing?
Will you GIVE yourself?Prayer: Father, help me to be one who repairs and restores the lives of others through Jesus Christ. Help me not to focus on my problems. Encourage Christians who are persecuted for their faith. Amen.

Today I am joining … Spiritual Sundays and Scripture & a Snapshot and Open Sunday Thoughts .
With all the tragedy in the world lately, this was such a good reminder to be part of the helpful who can do something other than worry out loud about the future. Bless you for sharing this on the #sundaythoughts link up, Joanne and happy Sunday to you.
Thank you, Jamie. It was a reminder for me to seek ways to be a part of the solution and not the problem. It’s always good to join you. Happy Sunday to you!
A much needed prayer that has to come from a willing and yielded heart. That’s where the rub is. Sometimes I want to protect my “I thinks” and my own agenda more than I really want to genuinely pray and be part of the answer. This truth hurts even as I confess it!
I think that is true of us all at different times, Elizabeth. Sometimes I have to pray for Him to help me to be willing. I am so grateful He is patient and willing to work in us.
Yes, Lord, I want to be a rebuilder and restorer; and I want to raise up my children as the next generation to do the same.
Yes, me too! The next generation will surely need rebuilders and restorers.
