“I will bring them to my holy mountain of Jerusalem, and will fill them with joy in my house of prayer.” (Isaiah 56:7a, NLT)
There’s only one offensive weapon in the armor of God – His Word.
God tells us that He will bring us to prayer. Even if I fail to pray with discipline, God persistently invites me to join Him in prayer. I simply need to be faithful to pray whenever He brings prayer-worthy subjects to mind. By building up an arsenal of scriptures in my heart, I can now intercede anytime. This has freed me to a life of praying “without ceasing.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:17).One of my greatest joys now is praying for seemingly impossible things.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, teach me more about intercessory prayer. Thank you for Your persistent invitations to join You in prayer. Thank You for answering the impossible, because I know that all things are possible with You. Amen.

Today I am joining … Spiritual Sundays and Scripture & a Snapshot and Open Sunday Thoughts .
“One of my greatest joys now is praying for seemingly impossible things”…I love this Joanne. This is exactly the right way to live out our faith in a time when change for the good feels impossible. Thank you for sharing on Open Sunday Thoughts! And have a blessed Sunday (it’s going to be a long one over here…3 kids under 5 and daylight savings in full swing).
These thoughts on prayer are so good. I think it’s an area where we too often fall into condemnation. We feel guilty that we aren’t praying enough or with enough zeal. I love the idea of simply listening to the Holy Spirit’s promptings and responding.
