“Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.” (Psalm 42:7, NIV)
“The call of God can never be understood absolutely or explained externally; it is a call that can only be perceived and understood internally by our true inner-nature. The call of God is like the call of the sea – no one hears it except the person who has the nature of the sea in him. What God calls us to cannot be definitely stated, because His call is simply to be His friend to accomplish His own purposes. Our real test is in truly believing that God knows what He desires. The things that happen do not happen by chance – they happen entirely by the decree of God. God is sovereignly working out His purposes.”

Today I am joining … Give Me Grace and Spiritual Sundays and Word of God Speak and Under the Tree .
That is a scripture that has always fascinated me. I feel I’ve not really grasped the fullness of it yet, but I certainly understand the call of the sea and so that concept helped me.
Joanne,
Beautiful excerpt from Oswald Chambers. In these days when everything seems out of control, if we listen, God calls to the deep place in our hearts to be still and be at peace because His ways are higher than our ways. He is STILL in control (never lost it). Despite the chaos….God’s got this….I know it in the deep place.
Blessings sweet friend…wish I could drop by more – have been busy with RCF, Inc. Always refreshing here…
