“I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 1:19-20, NLT)
Is Jesus Christ more and more dominating every interest of my life?
Am I abiding? Am I taking the time to abide? What is the greatest source of power in my life? Is it my work, service, and sacrifice for others, or is it my striving to work for God? It should be none of these – what ought to exert the greatest power in my life is the atonement of the Lord. It is not on what we spend the greatest amount of time that molds us the most, but whatever exerts the most power over us.

I love this Ephesians scripture, Joanne. This is just what I need before bed tonight. (We’re many hours ahead of you in the MidEast.) Our family had an unsettling event today, so your post speaks such encouragement to me. Thank you!
Betsy, praying for you tonight. May God go before you and your family, bringing His peace. May He work through this event in power for His glory.
The incredible greatness of the power of Christ – yes! He is able to do abundantly above all that we can ask or think.
He is mind-blowing!
Love the scripture – and the graphic you chose.
I do want Christ to dominate every interest of my life!
It is amazing to ask ourselves these questions. Oswald Chambers knew how to ask the most thought provoking questions to stir our hearts to love our God more deeply.
Great thoughts to ponder my friend. Thank you for sharing.
I’m hearing a song in my head now that we sing at church: “The same power that crushed the enemy, The same power lives in me.” What a glorious and almost unbelievable truth! Thanks for sharing, Joanne.
