“We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life.” (1 John 1:1, NLT)
This morning I am grateful that The Church was founded on facts – not a fable or some good thoughts that the disciples developed for people to feel good for all the ages to come. They Investigated and Interrogated Jesus for themselves. They saw with their own eyes, and touched with their own hands, and experienced everything firsthand. They were firsthand witnesses to all that transpired.
They could not contain themselves as they realized Jesus was prophesy fulfilled. He was the One. The Only One.
As they heard, they believed and they didn’t just believe for themselves. They Invested their lives to getting the Truth out among the people so that one day I may also believe.
“So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.” (Romans 10:17, NLT)
As I hear God’s Word, I pray that my faith would also grow, increasing more and more. And one day, when my life is over, I will then see with my own eyes and touch with my own hands the very One who is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. I will see, face to face, the One who is the great “I Am“.
Today I may be joining … Give Me Grace and Still Saturday and Spiritual Sundays and Sunday Stillness and Scripture & a Snapshot .
What a glorious day that will be! While on earth, may we keep telling others about our Lord and Savior so that they too may know & believe in the Great I Am.

May we both be faithful! Thank you for stopping & sharing with me. Have a blessed week!
Thank you for my Sunday morning devotion. Blessings, friend. ♥
Nannette, I love seeing your smiling face in my comments. So thank you for blessing me with a visit. May you have a blessed week ahead!
I have been pondering these two words lately, “I AM”, and all the amazing possibility that they convey. I love that you are there too!
Blessings,
Dawn
Dawn, how interesting you are also pondering these words. I love that you said you are pondering the “amazing possibility that they convey.” I am coming to realize that “I Am” means –> “I Am whatever you need” at this moment, today, right now.
Blessings!
I have always been a little giddy about this whole thing they experienced.
The other day I read: I must go, if I do not go you will not see the Counselor” (my translation) and I could see their sorrow. The would miss the face-to-face. I want that and look forward to it. I see the Counselor and I want more of the I AM.
Chris, I can only imagine their sorrow as you well pointed out. Yet, He knew not to leave us alone or on our own. How precious that is!
Yes! And He is “IT”….. That’s what I count on, forever.
Yes, Joanne. He is whatever we need – today and every day!
Amen! “From the beginning.”
Yes and forever 🙂
