Every Friday I join a community of bloggers for Five Minute Friday. One word prompt, five minutes. Unedited. The prompt this week is … Original.
Earlier this morning, I read Revelation 21:1-6. There is such hope to be found in these verses as God will one day restore all things as He originally intended.
“… and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”
(Revelation 21:4, NASB)
No more death.
No more pain.
No more tears.
No more grief.
No more sorrow.
It won’t be a copy, a replication, or an imitation.
When Jesus returns, He will restore all things to the original state God intended from creation.
God was in the beginning.
God will be the conclusion,
and restore the original.

Today I may be joining …
Thank you for this hopeful post, Joanne. I am your neighbour on Five Minute Friday.
What joy to consider! Thank you, Joanne.
Good word!
Looking forward to that day.
I love this! And, won’t it be interesting to see what God had originally planned? I bet it will blow our minds.
God made the world in His own way,
He crafted it with love and care,
and then He watched in great dismay
as foolish men did tear
what was the apple of His eye
and make of it disaster.
He could have set them all to die
(for He is Lord and Master!),
but though He must have been quite pained,
He stayed His holy hand,
and in His judgement mercy reigned
and though what He had planned
was cast aside by sin and fear,
one day it will again appear.
Joyfully anticipating! Beautiful Joanne.
