Every Friday I join a community of bloggers for Five Minute Friday. One word prompt, five minutes. Unedited. The prompt this week is … Through.
Seeing the word prompt, the song immediately came to mind …
“Through it all
Through it all I’ve learned to trust in Jesus I’ve learned to trust in God Let me tell you that Through it all Through it all I’ve learned to depend upon his word.”(from Through It All by Andre Crouch)
And then the Scriptures came to mind. Each one reminded me of our need for a Shepherd.
“Thus He rebuked the Red Sea and it dried up, And He led them through the deeps, as through the wilderness.”
(Psalm 106:9, NASB)
“But he led his own people like a flock of sheep, guiding them safely through the wilderness.”
(Psalm 78:52, NLT)
“They did not thirst when He led them through the deserts. He made the water flow out of the rock for them; He split the rock and the water gushed forth.”
(Isaiah 48:21, NASB)
No matter what we encounter in this life, God will be with us and bring us through it all.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.”
(Isaiah 43:2, NASB)
Through it all
we will learn
to depend upon God’s Word.

Today I may be joining …
Through is such an important word for our walk with God. Even the nation of Israel had to learn that the way out of the wilderness was THROUGH the wilderness.
I love these verses, Joanne. No matter what we go through, God promises to lead us and He is always with us. So comforting. Love and blessings to you!
Love that song and Scripture too! He is right there when we call, which is all we have to do. Glory! FMF friend #5
Jesus is the only hope we have!
I’m so thankful he is there through it all and thankful for the reminder from you in this weeks post.
now you have this song coursing it’s way through my thoughts. Not a bad thing late at night. 🙂
As soon as I saw the word prompt, I began humming 🙂 I think that is the very reason I return to this linkup each week. It is so interesting what one word sparks in each one who participates.
Thank you for gathering these verses together. He is with us and guides us through all!
Amen!
Looks like several of us thought of that song in connection with this week’s prompt.
Yes, it is SO encouraging and reassuring to know that He NEVER leaves us or forsakes us and goes through it all with us. Thank you.
