For the next several weeks, Tuesday posts will be sharing from time spent in the Bible study, “Preaching the Gospel to Yourself” by The Daily Grace Co.

So let’s talk about this a little …

The Gospel – we don’t only need it for salvation, we need it every single day to live. The Gospel is life itself and gives hope and grace to every day, and any circumstance.

The intro in the study points out why we need the Gospel and what we can hope to gain from this study:

• We need to actively remind ourselves of God’s grace.
• We need to daily declare to our own souls who God is and what He has done.
• We need to anchor our identities to Christ.
• We need to preach the Gospel to ourselves daily.

In order to preach the Gospel to ourselves, we are going to need to know how to find the godly principles in Scripture and apply them to our lives.

Let’s make this verse the theme of this study:

“For His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.”
(2 Peter 1:3, NASB)

Such a precious reminder –
We have everything we need for life already because
we already have Christ!
