“Bless the Lord, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits.” (Psalm 103:1-2, NASB)
“Psychiatrist Rollo May says, “Memory is not just the imprint of the past upon us; it is the keeper of what is meaningful for our deepest hopes and fears.:
Memory is selective. Often we forget what God has done for us. Charles Spurgeon said, “We write our blessings in the sand, and we engrave our complaints in the marble” …
True praise ought to come from the heart, not the memory (Matthew 15:8). Worship is the believer’s adoring response to all that God says and does.
Engrave God’s blessings in your heart, and you’ll never grow weary of praising Him.”

Today I am joining … Scripture & a Snapshot .
“Worship is the believer’s adoring response to all that God says and does.” That’s one of the best and most succinct definitions I’ve ever read of worship.
This devotional has been so good and timely. Warren Wiersbe always causes me to think. Blessings!
There are so many benefits and blessings and we should never forget them! I like the idea of engraving them in our hearts and that will result in constant worship.
Charles Spurgeon quote made me smile. So true. Let’s engrave blessings, not complaints…
