“You removed a vine from Egypt; You drove out the nations and planted it.You cleared the ground before it, and it took deep root and filled the land.” (Psalm 80:8-9, NASB)
“One of the greatest tragedies in life is wasted opportunity – not making the most of what God has given us …
God blesses us to make us a blessing … The vine became like all the other vines. The Israelites compromises and sinned. So God had to cut down His vine and discipline His people.
Remember, God has planted you where you are that you might be a blessing. He wants you to take deep root. He wants you to bear rich fruit. And if you will draw upon His spiritual power, He will enable you to be a blessing. Bloom where you are planted and bear fruit to the glory of God and the enrichment of others.”

Today I am joining … Scripture & a Snapshot .
Thank you for this post Ms. Joanne. It reminded me of something I’ve thought and prayed about for many years. I know that God won’t hold my failures against me, but I also know I’ll have less rewards after the Bema Seat judgment (The Judgment Seat of Christ for all those truly saved) because of opportunities to do kingdom work that God blessed me with that I wasted because I either rejected the opportunity outright or saw it as a trial instead of a test and complained and fussed my way through it. Great post ma’am. These days, I’m trying to see the opportunity that is there in everything that comes my way. I guess it’s learning to use my spiritual eyesight, that which is guided by the Holy Spirit and not my carnal human eyes.
Amen, Joanne. Makes me wonder what we’ve missed along the way because we were too obsessed with either the past or the future and failed to notice what God wanted to do in us and through us right now.
I hope I’ve learned from the missed opportunities in my past and will be more faithful and obedient in the future. We should always remember that we are ‘blessed to be a blessing’!
