“O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water. Thus I have seen You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live.”
(Psalm 63:1-11, NASB)
“King David wrote this psalm when he was in the wilderness of Judah …
When you find yourself in a dry wilderness situation in life, what do you do? … David wanted to see that wilderness turned into a sanctuary. David had been in the tabernacle. He had seen the glory of God, but he wasn’t satisfied with that …
Wilderness experiences are good for you, for they teach you an important truth: You draw satisfaction from blessing on the inside, not from circumstances on the outside. When you face a wilderness experience, follow David’s response. God will meet your needs.”

Today I am joining … Scripture & a Snapshot .
I think this is why I love the song Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing so very much. Those lyrics remind me and either keep me where I need to be or bring me back.
David was able to see that God’s sanctuary can be in the tabernacle and in the wilderness. What a comfort.
