Last week we finished up the study, “40 Days with Jesus”, with reading Matthew 28:1-20, Mark 16:1-20, Luke 24:1-53, John 20:1-21 and verse 25.
The resurrection.
At times, it seems to get lost in the midst of Easter eggs and hunts. Or perhaps shopping for a new dress.
And while those things are fun and nice … they won’t matter a hill of beans in eternity.
“This resurrection is the foundation of our faith. It is what gives us hope and assurance.” (from 40 Days with Jesus, page 196)
Looking at those words on the printed page, I realized – our faith will wane if we do not remember this every single day.
Jesus invited Thomas to touch His hands and side. Jesus longed for Thomas to stop doubting and believe.
And He longs for the same for each one of us:
“Blessed are those who did not see, and yet believed.” (John 20:29b, NASB)
This is us! We are blessed because we have believed.
How does the truth of the resurrection change your day-to-day life?

Today I am joining …
Amen! Every day should be lived in the hope of the Resurrection. We don’t have to live in fear, because we don’t have to orchestrate the outcomes. God does that. Our job is to grown more like Jesus every day.
I love your thoughts, Anita. Less orchestration and more growth!
I love your final question! It’s a good one to ponder – the resurrection should make a difference to our lives day by day and yet it can be easy to forget!
Amen Ms. Joanne. A question we should consider daily. Thank you and God’s blessings ma’am.
