We used to get together weekly to play cards. Years and years of playing together brought a comfort, an ease, laughs, competitiveness, food, and conversation.
Recently, in cleaning out a drawer, the memories came flooding back. How quickly the years had passed, leaving me wondering, “Where did they go?†And more so, “How come we didn’t know they were passing so quickly?â€
Scripture even confirms the quick passing of time:
“Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.â€Â (James 4:14, NASB)
So here is the thing I cannot help but think upon lately. If it is true, that life passes so quickly, would it not then also be true that the hard times will pass quickly as well?
We are here on this earth for but a short time. When we are young, we think we have so much of life to live. And we do. But we do not fully comprehend the vast speed with which our days and years will go by. We have but a short time to make our lives count. To do the hard thing of living in a way to please, honor and bring glory to Jesus.
So how about we get serious and do the hard things?
Join me at Woman to Woman Ministries HERE and we will take a look at those hard things. Perhaps we can encourage one another to even do a few!

Today I may be joining … Inspire Me Monday and Remember Me Monday .
“Use me as You will Lord; for Your glory. Fill me up and empty me out as often as You desire. When You’re finished, let there not be a drop left in my cup Father.”
Time passes by quickly. I pray that in every moment, I glorify the Lord. Thank you for this inspirational message.
