Worry – it’s been defined as “to torment with cares, anxieties; trouble. While we always face times of difficulty or worry, the last few years have been a source of worry more so for many.
In her latest book, “5-Minute Devotions For Worry: Ease Doubt and Find Peace With Prayer“, Jenifer Metzger shares from her own personal journey with worry. She is not sharing as a professional but from her own journey. She shares the lessons which equipped her to find strength for each day, deepen her faith, and come out on the other side stronger.
Each reading is short and broken down into four sections:
- Scripture. The Bible is is your personal word from God and will leads us in truth and hope.
- Commentary. Here you will find personal stories which will help you to realize you are not alone.
- Reflection. These are questions to help you make personal application.
- Prayer. Short prayers to thank God for what He is doing and for His guidance each day.
You will find each reading relatable and applicable to life. The book is a journey as it helps us to realize we are never stuck in our worries. We can come through with God’s help, His strength, and His Word.
If life has been hard and challenging, these sixty six devotional readings will draw you close to the heart of God, whose love and grace is available and ready to help you.

Thanks for sharing ma’am. Those in this world must be adding to their “Worry List” more with each passing day it seems. God’s blessings ma’am.
I agree, J.D., making this a most encouraging and needed devotional.
This sounds like a valuable resource. I go through seasons where I worry more or less than other times. But I’d rather not worry at all anytime! 🙂
You have worded it well, Lisa. We go through seasons which will make this a devotional to be turned to as the need arises.
