“In You our fathers trusted; They trusted and You delivered them. To You they cried out and were delivered; In You they trusted and were not disappointed.”
(Psalm 22:4-5, NASB)
“Jesus Christ was forsaken that we might not be forsaken ….
We cannot be forsaken because the Savior was forsaken in our place. We cannot be forsaken because of His promise to never leave or forsake us. We cannot be forsaken because of His abiding and eternal presence with us. We cannot be forsaken because of His purpose to work all things together for good to those who love Him. And what is His purpose? That we might be conformed to the image of His Son. David became a beautiful picture of the Lord Jesus Christ. And he had to suffer to do it. In spite of your circumstances and feelings, remember: God will not forsake you.”

Today I am joining … Scripture & a Snapshot and Sunday Scripture Blessings .
That’s a new way of looking at it – we can’t be forsaken because Jesus was forsaken in our place. What amazing love!!
How amazing that the guilty have comfort because the innocent was left comfortless on the cross.
Grateful…
Love that scripture because he didn’t forsake then and is still not today. So reassuring.
Amazing–He was forsaken that we might not be. What a comfort this paragraph is.
I just realized we used the same photo in our posts today. 😀 But they look different enough with different words.
