“But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were deadin our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:4-6, NASB)
“This is our rightful place – “seated … with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,” yet seated and still …
A quiet spirit is of priceless value when performing outward activities. Nothing so hinders the work of God’s unseen spiritual forces, upon which our success in everything truly depends, as the spirit of unrest and anxiety.
There is tremendous power in stillness …
Make it your business to learn to be peaceful and safe in God through every situation.”

I need so much grace for this, Joanne. Stillness comes hard to this doer, but I know the value of it and that Jesus beckons us to come away.
A quiet spirit…in this time of conflict and turmoil in our country a quiet spirit is much needed. And we know the answer–seek our Lord Jesus Christ.
Makes much sense, but so hard at times. Working on it. Thanks for the beautiful photo and scripture as a reminder.
There is such a power in knowing we are seated, and in being still in His presence. Thank you for this reminder, and I will look for the book you quoted.
What a tremendous blessing to be able to sit and be at peace. Thank you, Lord.
