“I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry.”
(Psalm 40:1, NASB)
“Waiting is much more difficult than walking, for waiting requires patience, and patience is a rare virtue … But God has a purpose in all of His delays. “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord” (Psalm 37:23).
Next to this verse, in the margin of his Bible, George Mueller made this note: “And the stops too.” It is a sad mistake for someone to break through God’s hedges. It is a vital principle of the Lord’s guidance for a Christian never to move from the spot where he is sure God has placed him, until the “pillar of cloud” moves. from Sunday School Times

Waiting is my HARDEST spiritual discipline!
Faith in the waiting is sometimes hard, but worth amazing when the wait is over. Thank you for a great reminder to start my week. Happy Sunday.
What a good reminder. We talk about following God when it’s time to go–but He times our stops and waits as well.
Taking this to heart today! Someone else gave me Proverbs 16:3 today. I think God may be asking me to wait on Him, instead of pushing my plans! Have a blessed Sunday!
Love this reminder that the STOPS are ordered by God and used for his purpose! Good to know when waiting is hard.
