“My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him.” (Psalm 62:5, NASB)
“The answer to our prayer may be coming, although we may not discern its approach. A seed that is underground during winter, although hidden and seemingly dead and lost, is nevertheless taking root for a later spring and harvest. Bickersteth
Delayed answers to prayer are not only trials of faith, they also give us opportunities to honor God through our steadfast confidence in Him even when facing the apparent denial of our request. Charles H. Sprugeon

Thanks for this timely reminder: “Delayed answers to prayer are not only trials of faith, they also give us opportunities to honor God through our steadfast confidence in Him.”
We are time bound and impatient, while God sees all things in an eternal present. This is one of my greatest obstacles in living this following life!
Since I’m very impatient and when have list to do, I want things checked off right away. I need to stop and remember to have the patience of Job. With God, the wait, as the scripture and you post says, will be a greater reward than doing something our way. Great reminder.
Sorry the link up wasn’t ready at my site. I fixed it, and put your link there for others to follow. Have a happy week.
I often wondered why God told Abraham he’d be having a son so long before Isaac came. All I can figure is what you’ve shared here–God wanted to grow his faith. That’s such an encouragement that long-awaited answers may yet come.
Timely and needed reminder. Waiting and trusting!
