“But you will not go out in haste, Nor will you go as fugitives; For the Lord will go before you, And the God of Israel will be your rear guard.” (Isaiah 52:12, NASB)
“At the end of the year we turn with eagerness to all that God has for the future, and yet anxiety is apt to arise when we remember our yesterdays. Our present enjoyment of God’s grace tends to be lessened by the memory of yesterday’s sins and blunders. But God is the God of our yesterdays, and He allows the memory of them to turn the past into a ministry of spiritual growth for our future. God reminds us of the past to protect us from a very shallow security in the present …
Let the past rest, but let it rest in the sweet embrace of Christ.
Leave the broken, irreversible past in His hands, and step out into the invincible future with Him.”

Today I am joining … Scripture & a Snapshot and Sunday Scripture Blessings and Selah .
A new beginning under grace!
Amen!
Yes, and we get one each and every morning!
Ouch! Oswald Chambers’ words hit home. When I think of past blunders and sins, I cringe. Thank goodness our God is a God of mercy and grace!
Laurie, I feel the same as you. I am most grateful for God’s grace and mercy upon me.
There is such richness in that Oswald quote!
Yes, so many doubts going into this new year, but so true, can let all this rest in God’s hands, and trust that it will be the best outcome because it’s his will for us. I’m working on Trust in this such a scary new today’s world.
Yes, we are surely learning to trust Him more. Lately I have been humming the old hymn …
“Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er;
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
Oh, for grace to trust Him more!”
