“Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’ “ (Matthew 1:23, NLT)
“Just as our Lord came into human history from outside it, He must also come into me from outside. Have I allowed my personal human life to become a ‘Bethlehem’ for the Son of God? I cannot enter the realm of the kingdom of God unless I am born again from above by a birth totally unlike physical birth. “You must be born again” (John 1:7). This is not a command, but a fact on the authority of God. The evidence of the new birth is that I yield myself so completely to God that “Christ is formed” in me. His nature immediately begins to work through me.”

Today I am joining … Scripture & a Snapshot and Sunday Scripture Blessings and Selah
So grateful that he entered history, changing it forever! He has certainly changed my story.
Amen! Mine as well!
Good to be reminded – Jesus was the ultimate outsider.
You worded it well, Laurie – the ultimate outsider. He became an outsider so that we could become insiders.
He gives us the free will to decide to know and let him in, and what a wonderful day when that decision is made. Rebirth and an awakening.
Indeed it is the best decision we can ever make!
Perfect to be reminded of this at the New Year.
‘Oh come to my heart, Lord Jesus, there is room in my heart for Thee.’
Blessings to you, Joanne, as we forge ahead, following Him step by step into 2021.
So grateful that God entered history and changed it, and entered my heart and changed me.
