“We had hoped he was the Messiah who had come to rescue Israel. This all happened three days ago.” (Luke 24:21, NLT)
“The purpose of prayer is that we get ahold of God, not of the answer …
… all the time God is at work in our everyday events and in the people around us … One of the most amazing revelations of God come to us when we learn that it is in the everyday things of life that we realize the magnificent deity of Jesus Christ.”
(Oswald Chambers, My Utmost For His Highest, February 7)
Today I am joining … Scripture & a Snapshot and Sunday Scripture Blessings .
I’ll be paying attention today, Joanne, thanks to you and Oswald!
Noticing God in the ordinary moments is my heart’s desire.
Isn’t it extraordinary that God is in the ordinary? Love! Hope you’re having an extraordinary birthday, Joanne!
Getting hold of God through prayer does help one to feel better throughout the day. So easy to forget the everyday convinces of God’s touch on everything, but when remembering to look it is beautiful to the mind’s eye.
I am blessed when I remember God is with us in the everyday moments – those that are happy and those that are sad.
