I ran into a wonderful interpretation from J.I. Packer of that verse from Romans 8 that says the Holy Spirit prays on our behalf. Packer says, “The Holy Spirit fixes our prayers on the way up!”
That’s such a comfort to me!
I think we sometimes get caught up in the thought that we need to phrase things perfectly to get our point across to the Lord. Although I believe it’s good to pray specifically, personally and purposefully, the Lord knows our thoughts; and His power isn’t dependent upon my choice of words. Thank you for sharing this today, Joanne; and I like Packer’s quote that Michele shared.
Amen!! There is great power in prayer BECAUSE of the great power and love of the God who hears and answers those prayers!
