“Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name.” (Hebrews 13:15, NLT)
“But as important as Thanksgiving is … Thanksgiving is more than a holiday. It is a nonstop event, 24/7, 365 days of the year. It’s a sacrifice of praise because you are outside the camp with Christ, unwelcome in the city you left behind, not yet arrived at the eternal city.
When the good is consumed, the guests gone, the holiday at an end, may your thoughts fly to God in an attitude of praise. And as you quietly stand with Christ outside the camp, you will learn the value of this sacrifice.
To know God is to praise Him.
Prayer: Loving Father, today and every minute of the next year, teach me the delightful sacrifice of praise.”

Today I am joining … Spiritual Sundays and Scripture & a Snapshot and Selah .
What a beautiful prayer! I have never thought of praise as a sacrifice before. I will be thinking about this today. Hope your Thanksgiving was a good one, Joanne!
Thanks for this reminder. Even though I often fall short, I do try to practice an attitude of praise and thanksgiving throughout my daily life.
that’s a perspective that I don’t usually consider – that I’m still outside the camp, not yet arrived, but Jesus is with me. That’s something to be so thankful for!!! No matter what else, Jesus is with us.
