Thanksgiving Day is almost upon us. It brought to mind a quote I had written down years ago, although I did not joy down the source:
“As the intrepid Mayflower travelers were preparing to leave England and head into the unknown, Bradford wrote about what was in their hearts. “They knew they were pilgrims, and looked not so much on these things, but lifted up their eyes to the heavens, their dearest country, and quieted their spirits.â€
From this quote, the Pilgrims can teach us three lessons. Join me at W2W Ministries today to discover what the pilgrims have been teaching me.

Today I am joining … Inspire Me Monday .
Yesterday I had a conversation with a young mum who informed me that kids aren’t learning much about the pilgrims in public school any more, which makes me very sad.
This is sad, Michele. Our history may not be perfect but there are lessons to be gleaned from it all. And from the pilgrims, we can learn not only gratitude but endurance and perseverance. May you and yours have a blessed Thanksgiving!
PS – I am grateful for you 🙂
