“Jesus replied, ‘You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being.‘ (Matthew 16:17, NLT)
Do you ever just have a sort of knowing in your heart about something?
… a prompting to go a different route, to call someone, or to ask one of your children a question?
God often gives you insight and revelation to walk out your journey with Him. He is always there, ready to show you the path to take, the word to say, or the move to make. His job is to speak into your life. Your job is to listen and obey.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I want to hear Your voice. I will listen quietly to what You are revealing to me today. Give me insight into Your plan and help me follow Your instructions.

Today I am joining … Open Sunday Thoughts and Spiritual Sundays and Scripture & a Snapshot .
Yes, this is one of my regular prayers. I want to know the voice of the Lord so I will recognize it when it comes.
Yes, voice recognition activation 🙂 He speaks. We move.
I just prayed this over my Sunday. Here’s to opening that door WIDE open to what He decided to bring in.
I have been praying Psalm 25 lately. Lead me, teach me, guide me, deliver me. My word this year is “yield” and Psalm 25 is the chapter that seems to sum up the cry of my heart.
Thank you for sharing Psalm 25. I needed to read it this morning. Blessings!
“Your job is to listen and obey.” That’s so good! Not just to listen – but to obey! And the more we obey, the more we will recognize His voice.
It’s such a good cycle for us to develop.
Such a beautiful post. I do hear him calling my name and giving me peace.
Diana, your comment brought to mind how just the mere mention of His Name brings peace. And He calls us by name giving peace. Beautiful!
