“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” (Ephesians 3:20, NLT)
“So many people I meet want to know their future. In view of their suffering, frustrations, losses, and grief, they want something to believe in. I am learning to surrender my future to God.
As I experience God at work around me, no longer do I want a life based on possibilities and visions of chance, a life spent trying to make dreams come true. I want a God-planned and purposed-filled life. And I want others to experience the same. I want others to know that our loving God has something more for us than our own personal wants. He offers the reality of a living relationship with Himself and an abundant life filled with possibilities that we cannot begin to imagine.
Prayer: Father forgive me when I have my own agenda rather than following Your plan for my life. Thank You that those who follow You to the international field give up personal goals to share Christ with a lost world. Give me a passion to support their work with my prayers and resources, no matter the cost to my time or wallet. Amen.

Great quote! It is easy to cling to our own ideas of how we want things to be and forget that we can trust God and surrender to him, knowing that he has something even better in store.

Amen Joanne! This goes right along with what I posted today. I love it when God does that!
I pray this scripture every day for two of my children…it’s a lifeline.
Ohhh this: “Father forgive me when I have my own agenda rather than following Your plan for my life.”
This needs to be the prayer I wake up with every day. I always have an agenda and I always feel slighted when it doesn’t happen…which is silly because it’s not my life’s rules I should be living by. Thank you for this, my friend!
These are such good thoughts, and one of my favorite scriptures as well! As I get older and we face the unknown that aging brings, surrendering to God and trusting Him has taken on a whole new level in my life.
As I read the scripture, I was thinking that is exactly true as we go about our days. How wonderful that we don’t even know the work that is being done to our souls, to our lives for good. Sometimes it is known to us, but other times I just go obliviously about my days. Great scripture reminder that even in our blindness, works for us are being done, help for us is being done. I too like your prayer Joanne that we might be a partner in helping share with others in whatever ways we can.

I like how Kim Davis said “the reality of a living relationship with Himself.” Just as our relationship with others is “living,” so is our relationship with the Lord.
Great prayer to pray for the kids in this scripture. xo
