“And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.” (James 3:18, NLT)
Only a few seeds actually produce fruit, but those seeds are worth all the effort. My dad plants a garden every year, knowing that his efforts may not be successful.
I don’t know what will happen to the “seed” I planted today, just as my dad didn’t know how his garden would produce. One thing I know for certain – nothing will grow if I don’t plant. I am here to share the gospel, so that is what I will continue to do.
Prayer: Father, help me to be mindful of the seeds that I plant rather than focusing on the harvest. The harvest is in Your hands. I pray that missionaries, also, will continue to plant the seeds of the gospel, and leave the rest up to You. Amen.

Such a good reminder to me today!
Joanne,
Sometimes we/I make things way to complicated. God simply asks that we keep planting seeds. We don’t have to know how many will sprout or how tall they’ll grow…we are just instructed to plant and leave the growth to the Holy Spirit. If we don’t plant anything, then nothing will ever have a chance at growing.
Blessings and Happy Mother’s Day to you,
Bev xx
Bev, we truly do make it so much more complicated than need be. May we be faithful to drop the seeds and leave the fruit growing to the Gardener!
Praying for you and trusting that you are feeling a little bit better with the passing of each day!

Amen. I do indeed forget this truth and want to keep it close. I can think of many-a-time when none of the seeds sprouted in a garden planting and other times when every one did, even more than I thought I planted. We just never know yet God knows.
Linda, I love what you have shared. “We just never know!” And I especially love when something comes poking through the ground and you completely have forgotten that you even dropped a seed there 🙂
