‘For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: ‘The righteous will live by faith'” (Romans 1:17, NIV)
Tutus, tap shoes, free throws and touchdowns? What do these things have in common? More than you think.
Aren’t we, as Christians, told to live not by our feeling, but by our faith, choosing to believe that our dreams are happening even when we can’t see it?
God has opened doors to show people His love through everyday activities. It doesn’t feel like work. It doesn’t feel like “evangelism”. Yet somehow, people are asking questions; somehow, people want to know why we do things differently. God is good, holy, and just; but God is also creative.
What unsuspecting hobby does God want to use in your life to show His love and truth to others?
Prayer: Lord, Thank You for hearing the prayers of Your servants and for creatively opening doors for the Gospel in a context readily understood. Lord, I pray that many today will become aware of abilities, aptitudes, and spiritual gifts that have been divinely place in their lives for a purpose. Amen.

Yes, no one is more “create-tive” than God! Good thoughts today!
Julie, may God continue to fill you with creativity!
I believe that when we create in whatever form that is for us, from cooking to sculpting, we are reflecting part of God’s image in us. What joy there is in creating!
Elizabeth, I so agree with you. I loved that this quote so affirms that God has given us unsuspecting hobbies which can be used for His glory and purposes. I am so glad that He uses your creativity to speak to my heart – in your words and in your photos. Blessings!
Your post is thought provoking in a realization that the passion that comes for anything that we love to do most is indeed a gift from God, and the sharing of it, even if it’s a scrapbooking card, a sewn or crocheted item, a read book passed along to another, shares love. He gives many avenues for pleasure that are good and sound. So enjoyed reading this reminder. We never know when we are used, that is the beauty of Jesus.
I am always in awe that the first recorded thing God did was to create. I’m thankful for His gift of creativity and the joy it brings.
I love this! I have just re-discovered my creativity and through it have begun to see how much God’s own creativity he has invested in all of us!!!
I love how God can use all our different talents and gifts for Him!
