“Wherever I cause my name to be honored, I will come to you and bless you.” (Exodus 20:24b)
God has been teaching me that we can plan and strategize, but He causes His name to be honored. How great is that! We aren’t responsible for people coming to Christ. When we see God causing His name to be honored, we feel His presence and are blessed to witness His glory.
God wants the complete focus of our worship, not the work of our hands. God causes His name to be honored, not us, and if we try to take the credit for His work, our weakness and faults will be exposed.
When we see God moving, we are brought to our knees in worship. We are encouraged that our witnessing is not in vain.
Prayer: Father, Thank You that You are responsible for calling people to Yourself. Use me in that process, and help me not to be discouraged when I don’t see immediate results. Encourage missionaries today who are in places where the work is slow. Amen.

Your post reminds me of ‘let go and let God’. Thank you for sharing.
Yes to this verse. It is hard to take the time and really honor God in the midst of the crazy days.
Lovely photo and encouraging thoughts from Kim P. Davis. Thank you for sharing those.
I needed a reminder from this quote today. Thank you!
Beautiful image, and a great reminder of where our focus should be. May God receive all the glory!
Enjoyed your photo and your post.
Joanne,
So many times I put too much emphasis on me and my ability to bring others to Christ when actually it is God who causes His name to be praised. I simply need to be a willing vessel through which He can work if He chooses.
Blessings,
Bev xx
Beautiful!
