“They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” (Isaiah 61:3b, NIV)
Mighty Oaks
Mighty oaks from little acorns grow
Leaf by leaf, branch by branch,
A process slow
and almost unbelievable that He
from just one seed brings forth a tower tree.
The mighty oak, if only it could speak,
would tell of times when faith and hope grew weak.
But though challenged by the tempest or the drought
the stately oak would urge us not to doubt.
For throughout the trials, the troubles, and the tests
God prospers or withholds as He sees best.
If we like little acorns will press forward
ever looking upward, reaching toward
great victories o’er discouragements and sorrows
Then we shall be as mighty oaks tomorrow.

Sacred Space + f#SONGSonSUNDAYS Welcoming you!
Glad you stopped here today. Have a restful day!
Enjoyed this. I love oak trees! I have a large one in my yard. It always reminds me of being strong, rooted, branching out , ever growing upward. It can be a symbol of our lives as we are rooted in Christ, branching out , but always pointing to God. I’m visiting from #GiveMeGrace.
It is amazing all that a large tree can speak to us. May our roots go deep in Him. Glad you stopped here today.
Oh, that we will all be called oaks of righteousness!

“God prospers or withholds as He sees best”. Accepting this truth is life changing. Best lesson EVER. Thanks for linking up Joanne, always great to connect.
Lisha, it’s not always easy to accept this truth when He is withholding. So needed the reminder. Loved seeing the pictures of Lake Placid & the competition on FB 🙂 Blessings!
