There are times our souls need to be reminded …..
Help my soul, Lord, to find rest in You alone; for my hope comes from You. You alone are my rock and my salvation; You are my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on You; You, God, are my mighty rock, my refuge. Help me to trust in You at all times. Remind me to pour out my heart to You, for You, God are my refuge (Psalm 62:5-8).
Lord, according to Your Word, if I wholeheartedly commit whatever I do to You, my plans will succeed (Proverbs 16:3). Lord, I acknowledge that the heart of committing any plan to You is seeking Your plan. Show me the right path, Father!

Where would we be without the Psalms, eh? I was reading and praying them yesterday and they are such a comfort. Beautiful photo too. Hope you have a wonderful day, friend!
I would truly be lost without the Psalms! So grateful for the hope and peace I always find there!
The sunlight through the trees is lovely. I love that even in Scripture are pleas “remind me” God. We can depend on Him to help us turn to Him.
His Word always turns my thoughts to Him. Grateful He knows my thoughts need focusing!
i see we are looking for the same thing this week – rest for our souls. It’s good to connect here.
Carol, praying you found the rest your soul needed.
Beautiful reflection for my morning.
This was a treat! Word, words, and photo. Made me filled with encouragement and rejoicement. Thank you.
Joanne, I am so grateful it brought you encouragement & caused you to rejoice. I know this morning, it so brought me focus as I got ready to go to church. Blessings!
I like to call these verses, power words. Rest, hope, rock, fortress, salvation..and so many more. God is all those and so much more. This is an encouraging to my tired heart tonight. ~Pamela
So grateful you found encouragement, Pamela. I almost didn’t share this quote as I wondered if it would speak to anyone but me. So glad I obeyed. Hold onto the truth that He is what we need and so much more! Blessings!
Oh Joanne you speak to my heart today. Affirmation usually walks closely with rejection. And this week I’m feeling the sting of not being chosen. I know God holds my path in His hand and find so much comfort in these words, in this moment. Thank you for being part of His right now provision in my life.
Lisha, I am grateful these words spoke to your heart as they did mine. You have no idea how close I was to not posting this prayer. I am ever grateful to our God Whose prompting I could not ignore. The sting is always painful. May God’s Presence be a balm & may you know to the depths of your soul, He has chosen you. And He delights in you. And He is rejoicing over you. Grateful to be a part of Give Me Grace!
