Lord, I can only imagine the joy-filled praise that flowed from Mary’s and Elizabeth’s hearts as they shared the good news of the coming Messiah. Yet my joy should be even greater because, while they were anticipating the arrival of the Messiah in the future, I have the opportunity to be in Your presence every day. I have Your Holy Spirit in me, and I can come before Your throne in prayer at anytime.
Today I come before You in praise. I exalt You, for You are my Lord and King and I am grateful to be Your child. I love You and thank You that You came to earth as my Savior, Healer, Deliverer, and Comforter.
I will continually offer the sacrifice of praise to You for I know that in doing so, You are well pleased. May my heart be so full of praise for You that I cannot contain it. May I be so filled with the joy of knowing You that it overflows from me and onto all who see me.
In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

“He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name.” (Luke 1:49)
On this third Advent Sunday, I am joining … Spiritual Sundays and Still Saturday and The Sunday Community and Sunday Stillness and Scripture & A Snapshot .
“While they were anticipating the arrival of the Messiah in the future, I have the opportunity to be in Your presence every day.” It’s so true, and we often forget it. The Spirit is our constant companion, and being prayer is our permanent position.
The only way I am finding I remember is to be intentional about prayer. Any other way & my day gets away from me. Alison, thank you for stopping & sharing with me!
Praising with Stormie, with you, this beautiful advent sabbath morn … Praise God that there’s power in prayer!
There surely is!
Being in the presence of the Lord – what sweet peace. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing, Jo. Christmas Blessings to you and the whole family.
Thank you so much, Angela. You have no idea how you all have been in my thoughts & prayers as of late.

Stormie Omartian’s prayers have gotten me through many of the seasons of life. Thanks for linking up! Merry Christmas!
She has surely taught so many of us to pray!
Yes, Stormie Omartian was filled with so much sorrow and inward spiritual pain for so long… and the Lord truly broke through. What a blessing for her… and for the rest of us, too. Only HE can fill the gaps and heal the hearts. Thank you for sharing this. It’s a toucher.
“May I be so filled with the joy of knowing You that it overflows from me and onto all who see me.” Yes…this is my prayer.
Many blessings to you my friend.
