O Lord Most High, You rule over the heavens and the earth, for You made all things by Your great power, and You keep them existing and working by Your mighty Word. You are exalted above every star and galaxy in the cosmos…yet You are also “the God of all mankind”,
the great,
personally present,
personally involved God who loves, rescues, and takes care of all who trust You.
I praise You for Your sovereignty over the broad events of my life and over the details. With You,
nothing is accidental,
nothing is incidental
and no experience is wasted.
You hold in Your own power my breath of life and my destiny.
And every trial that You allow to happen is a platform on which You reveal Yourself, showing Your love and power, both to me and to others. Thank You that I can move into the future nondefensively, with hands outstretched to whatever lies ahead, for You hold the future and You will always be with me, even to my old age….and through all eternity.
Amen.

“I have cared for you since you were born. Yes, I carried you before you were born. I will be your God throughout your lifetime – until your hair is white with age.”

Joann, from Days and Thoughts, writes an awesome post today. “Nothing is accidental. Nothing is incidental.” She also faithfully links to Sunday Stillness. http://www.janiscox.com
Janis, thank you for the reblog. How that encouraged me as I was 2nd guessing myself as I wrote this post as to whether I should share it. Thank you!
I love the way God promises throughout the scriptures to always be with us. Thanks for the reminder that HE will never leave us, nor forsake us. – visiting from the blog hop
It is amazing how strengthened we become when we remember that He is always with us. So glad that you stopped here. Blessings!
I like this. Made me smile. Thank you for sharing so beautifully.
Thank you for stopping here today. Many blessings in 2014 to you & yours!
And every trial He allows to happen is a platform on which He reveals Himself to us and others–I could not have heard better words today! Thank you, Joanne.
Janis, I love seeing your smiling face in my comments! May our lives be vessels that reflect Him even on those hard days. May His blessings be upon you & yours in 2014!
“And every trial He allows to happen is a platform on which He reveals Himself to us and others” – So true. And may that platform be a strong beacon of Light through which our Lord shines bright and beautiful.
Angela, seeing your comment brought me to tears. So hard to be that platform. May you (& your family) know that God’s light surely shines through you. May you find that He gives you “the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places.” (Isaiah 45:3)
Much love!
Jo
Amen.
