{{It is Friday. Today I link with Lisa Jo Baker for Five Minute Friday. Here is how it works…. One word prompt. Five minutes. No editing. Lots of women. Everyone writes on the same word. Equals a great time.}}
And the word for today is …. TRUE.
We all want the true deal. Nothing false about it. Nothing manipulated. Authentic through and through. And yet how much of life is not true? Or has not been true to us?
I think of the times in life that I have been lied to. Trust was shattered. Relationships broken.
I can think of those that I have been blessed with in my life – the true ones. The ones that stuck with me, stood by me through thick and thin. Prayed through the nights. Called and spoke that word which was so desperately needed. The true ones.
But none of that was what immediately came to my mind when I read the word TRUE.
Not this time.
I thought of the true One who has been there each and every moment of my life. For He has always been and always will be with me……
I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. (Revelation 19: 11)
He alone is called Faithful and True.
Each and every time I open my Bible, His written Word to me, I am reminded…..
These words are trustworthy and true. (Revelation 22:6)
True —-> real, actual, not counterfeit. True as in one who cannot lie.
Yes, the one thing that He cannot do!
His Word is true. Always. These words that bring me comfort and strength and peace and truth have been here through the ages. They will be here for my children and grandchildren. And they will stand for all generations.
For He alone is true.

Good Morning! Thank you for your visit from FMF.
I was not aware of that passage from Revelations, but I really like it. The rider is faithful and true. Yes, and what an image that is!
Truth takes so many different ways to travel in our lives, but ultimately, truth is God. Because he is perfect and cannot lie. When we are truthful, we are like him. That sure is something to aim for, right?
And that’s the truth!

I have loved those passages in Revelation for some time. It is amazing what one word can prompt us all to share 🙂
His word is true. Always.
So thankful we can always rely on that truth!
Always!
We wrote on the same verse…and both used similar pictures! I agree, He is faithful. And the Truth!
It is amazing how a one word prompt can bring some to the same place and some to others. That’s the beauty of the linkup 🙂
Dear Joanne
I always say that every truth is just a fact with an opposite lie or untruth, but there is only one truth that is absolute from which every other true fact flows, and that is the Truth, our
Lord Jesus.

He is the only One who is faithful and true in my life. Love Revelations! Blessings!
I hate lies and people not being real too. It feels like a betrayal and I feel uncertain when I can’t trust someone. I am so thankful for our amazing God – the Way, the Truth and the Life whom we can always rely on, always trust. Thanks for speaking truth in this great post.
Thanks so much for sharing at Essential Fridays.
Blessings
