I requested and read His Treasure: Gems of Love from Your King by Sheri Rose Shepherd because I have read her other books written which I very much enjoyed. This one is truly a treasure. A very small sized book which the reader will find packed full of truths and encouragement and Scripture.
Each page is richly printed with beautiful illustrations of flowers and pearls and keys and compasses that have an old world feel to them. The print on the paper is designed to look like parchment giving the reader the sense that the words have come from a King.
This makes a wonderful gift as a devotional for any woman. There is a table of contents that would direct a reader to a specific topic if need be. Each page includes a Truth, a Scripture & a Treasure all which string together one thought being conveyed from God to the reader. Some of the beautiful truths shared included:
- God’s timing is just as important as His will itself.
- Discomfort is far better than destruction.
- Don’t give up your faith because of what you see.
- Before you walk away, count the cost of what you are leaving behind.
- If you pray for your enemies, you won’t become like them.
- Every day God creates a new reminder of His love for you.
- Heeding God’s correction is much more preferable to continuing in the wrong direction.
This book truly is a treasure and is full of His treasures from His Word. It is a delight of a book and sure to bless many.
