You knew the day would come when you would release her to school. Full time school to be specific. Pre-school was easy as there were still days she was home all day with you. But this, well, this is different. Now she is gone all day, every day.
All summer you have been dreading the arrival of this day. You have not been sure how to receive it. And now it is here.
Embrace these days.
Yes, embrace them.
For now you have time alone with your second born. You can pour yourself into this second little life that has graced your home but never had all of you to herself. She has not been the center of your attention as time was always divided with her older sibling.
Enjoy the one on one. Discover the beauty of this little life. Drink in of her personality as she is so different from your first born and yet bears so many similarities. These days alone with her will be fleeting as well. She, too, will one day begin school.
Enjoy the uniqueness of each of your children. He created each of them so special, each apart from the other. He planned that each would bring something special into your life, your family, your home…the world.
May this time open your eyes to His great love for you.
For much the same way you love each of your children – fully and differently – He loves each of us. May this time alone with her remind you of this….
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NLT).
Today I am linked with… Hope For The Weary Mom and Blog Lovin’ Blog Hop and Thurs. Favorite Things and From House To Home and Cozy Reading Spot and Thankful Thurs. and Desire To Inspire and Thriving Thurs. and Thought Provoking Thurs. .
I was a second child – I know I was loved on the year my older sister went to school… To this day, my mom tries to give us equality – even while recognizing our differences – and there ended up being four sisters altogether. Isn’t it amazing how God loves us for our differences as well? Loved this post! Thank you. Janet
Thank you for sharing this morning. As we each are recognized for our differences, we find we grow into our calling. We find our purposes. It truly is an amazing process.
Have a great Thurs.,
Joanne
Yes, always cherish the days. 🙂
Thanks for linking up today.

Oh, yes! If we could learn to embrace every stage, every season that God brings our way, life would be so much better, wouldn’t it? Embracing gives us an entrance to the full, abundant life that Jesus has for us, while regret keeps us out!
Enjoy this time! I send my 3rd to Pre-K today and I am looking forward to the time with my 4th!
Beautiful. Enjoy each moment. Blessings, Kasey
